The Short Mountain Repeater Club (W4YXA club call sign) maintains an open repeater operating at 146.910 MHz using a negative offset (146.310 MHz). The repeater is located in Cannon County,Tennessee on top of Short Mountain and is about 60 miles Sout East  of Nashville, Tennessee [ approx. 35°51'38" N 85°58'08" W ] at an elevation of almost 2200 feet. It covers a wide area and is open to all licensed amateur radio operators of technician class or higher.

                   OUR MISSION/OUR GOAL/OUR PURPOSE 

The purpose of the Short Mountain Repeater Club is to secure the pleaures and benefits of the association of persons interested in ham radio, to further the exchange of information and cooperation between members, to promote radio knowledge, fraternalism. individual operation efficiency, welfare of amateur radio in the community and to so conduct Club programs. The Short Mountain Repeater’s use is to be for the promotion and enjoyment of amateur radio. Personal abuse or profanity will not be tolerated, We insist that all users of the repeater practice common courtesy, use good amateur practice, and follow all FCC rules and regulations. 

                                             SMRC Club Meetings 

The Short Mountain Repeater Club meets on the second Saturday of each month at 3 p.m.  in Smyrna, Tn at the John Coleman Elementary School.
